Any problems with your Vornado heaters?

I bought three of those Vornado heaters with the idea of possibly gifting a couple of them. I could find very little information about that model online when I bought but trusted Woot and the brand. I'm using one of them in my office now and it's reeking up the place with the smell of burning plastic. I think I may be getting a headache. I don't see smoke or anything burning but I don't want to gift or keep these things if they are defective. Has anyone else had any problems with their heaters from Woot?

I got 2 and gave one to my girlfriend, I have had no problems with mine and she hasn't had any problems with hers. I get the hot coil smell, but that's normal with any heater i've used and goes away pretty quickly.

I'd call vornado and see if they have had any problems with that. These puppies came with a five year warranty i think.

Replied in the forum, but yeah, call them and get a replacement. Let support@woot.com know if you run into any hassle with that.

I have used a Vornado for several years and had no problems.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
