Do you have an awesome outdoor space heater you can recommend?
Hi everyone. I do some part-time work for a local university's softball team. We kick off the season in early February, and usually that means Atlanta's first snow of winter. Since we don't have a press box, I'm out in the elements for about 8 hours a pop.
I have a decent space heater that I got during a Wootoff about 3 years ago, but I'm wondering if it's time to upgrade.
So let me know if you have used a heater outdoors that kept your toesies nice and toasty. Prefer electric but no opposed to other types (propane?).
Thanks!

My feet are very disappointed in all of you.
I would bring an electric heated throw. When I have needed an outdoor heater I haven't generally had access to electricity. So on my deck I have one of those fire pits, and it does a good job of heating everything downwind of it. When I have an art booth in the chilly outdoors I use a propane heater, and it keeps the parts of me close to it warm but not the parts away from it. The problem with being outdoors is that no device is up to heating the whole planet (although the sun does a bang-up job). If you want to use a heater, having a backstop for the heat is actually more important than the heat generator itself. So, bring a blanket to put on the back of your chair. Bring a gel kitchen mat (or at least a folded up towel) to insulate your feet from the ground.
I have some of these for vending outdoors:
