Why did woot get rid of their Rick Roll on the Amazon homepage?

On bottom of the amazon.com homepage is a list of all its companies, one of which is woot. It says "Woot Never Gonna Give You Up" When you clicked on the link it would take you to woot.com, but with a the Rick Astley video playing on the page. The link is still on the amazon page, but it no longer plays that video.

If you press in the Konami code (please tell me you know it - it's a sad day on Woot if you don't) from the main Woot page, it will play the video.

@capguncowboy: Of course I know the code. Tried it. I get the same "maintenance" as when they were changing THEIR servers. Does it work for you?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
