I guess "The day that will live in infamy" has been forgotten. I'll even admit that I didn't remember it thanks to finals week at school. So thanks for reminding us. Only by knowing where we've been can we understand where we're going (that might be a famous quote, not sure; it just popped in my head)

I've seen people over the years complain about not having a google doolde for one thing or another. I remember prior complaints of no dodle for Pearl Harbor, no doodle for 09/11 (I know they did one this year, but I don't think they do every year), no doodle for memroial day, etc.

Personally I see a Google Doodle as a great honor that is not to be expected.

Go ahead you can start w/ the downvotes now.

@nafsllib: I don't see why you'd get down-voted for stating the facts.

I know it isn't expected (nor should it be) to have a doodle for every little thing, but I think the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor is something that deserves to be commemorated.

I don't know why they wouldn't do anything for pearl harbor...that is so horrible. They died so google could become what it is today! Protecting our freedom.

I think it is telling that Google can commemorate some Mexican communist (on Dec. 8) but doesn't bother remembering Pearl Harbor on December 7. Whose side are they on, anyway? Are there any Americans . . . loyal Americans . . . working there? Maybe it's not politically correct to love your country. If that's the case, I for one say, "To hell with political correctness!"
