Does anyone know a good BATCH cropping program?
I have a bunch of photos (hundreds) that need to be cropped (not resized, but cropped) to 150 x 75. I'd like to be able to create a frame that's 150 x 75, then say "crop all the files in this folder" and then it will prompt me one-by-one where to place the "crop frame" on each photo. That way, for instance, I can move the "crop frame" to an interesting portion of the picture, like someone's face.
Or, does anyone know how I can tap into some kind of face recognition software to do similar cropping (like Google's face tagging? is there an API?)
I'm trying to make thumbnails for a photo gallery, and I want the thumbnails to be literally just a crop of the big picture down to 150 x 75, where each thumbnail is focused on an interesting element of the full-size picture.
Does anyone know of any utilities or programs that can help me?
I don't know of any program to do this but if I were looking for something like it I'd start by checking out Lifehacker and see if they have any posts on it.
Good Luck.
Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/ has a crop option under advanced options in batch conversion.
