The news, and every single one of my Facebook friends will spam their walls and every other media source with information about the iPad 3.

No sense in watching it when the TL;DR version will come soon.

apple-related care = absolute zero

I am not watching it, but I am getting a live play by play from my coworker who thinks that I am interested

@lichme: Hmm... I think you just described me...
Seriously, I'm bugging all my coworkers about it and I'm the only Apple person here lol (software company, lots of programmers =P)

@tossthedice: So you admit that just about anyone who actually has computer knowledge isn't high on apple.

Big surprise there!

@squirrelhunter70: More like everyone over the age of 40 is already set in their Microsoft ways =/

@tossthedice: I'm under 30 and I'm already set in my Microsoft ways. (Even though I budged and bought an iPhone)

these keynotes are like if Apple was a person tweeting about everything that happened during the day.
Some translation:
"got up brushed my teeth" (fired people)
"checked my stocks" (insider trading)
"had breakfast" (dipped into the free cash to buy everyone Duncan)
"work will be boring today" (designing another ipod)
"listened to 'learning french' audiobook in car" (Siri now in French)
"was late to work today, so much traffic" (announcing iphone 4s instead of iphone 5)
"swept the floor" (fired people)
"got a call from the in-laws" (meeting with whoever the new guy is)

You know, there are computer savvy techies who like Apple products. As a gray-beard UNIX user, I appreciate having a full UNIX system at my disposal, along with a beautiful GUI. You young whippersnappers can take Windows. I'll stick with what I know works well for me: UNIX. Ubuntu as a close second choice too.
