Since Blazing Saddles seems to be a regular deal around these parts, here is some sad news...

I'm the complete opposite, I only knew him from football, I never saw Webster when it was on and I never put 2+2 together to realize he was Mongo. I read he had full blown dementia which seems to be the norm for football players, which is very sad.

Actually, I read about it yesterday. He was apparently a good man in his personal life. We need more people like him. @sgrman05: You must be a youngster....if you don't mind, how old are you, about 25 or so? Old-timers like me remember his days as a Lion, his days as a commentator on MNF and his role as Mongo in Blazing Saddles.
