How many Coats/Jackets dfo you have?
With fall upon us(at least where I am) and winter around the corner I would like to know; How many Coats/jackets do you have, on what occasions do you wear them, which is you favorite, and are you looking for another?
If we're counting hoodies, I have a ton. And I'm always on he lookout for more. Traditional jackets/coats probably 6 or 7. I pull out the hoodies as soon as it get s a little chilly. I usually save the dressier jackets for when I get a little more dressed up. Before I moved to Madison I never needed the BIG warm jackets. This year I will, so I'm on the lookout for one before winter :-)
I probably have 15-20. Which is funny, because I live in the desert and don't need them often. It's going to be 93 here today. But I like coats and scarves so I buy them.
Way too many, I have a coat closet that is packed to the gills and that's only coats, then I have a ton of hoodies and other sweatshirts. Needless to say, I tend to buy then if I run across one I like and is a good price, sometimes I just can't resist. And living in the northeast, you need a variety of weights of coats.
according to 1 kid as he left the door @35 degrees for school this morning & didn't like his jacket, not enough. According to the other kid who didn't want to wear a jacket, too many.
Let's see, I have a Ski coat I got a couple springs back for 70% off. Work supplied everyone with a light jacket. I have a couple other light, outdoor workout type jackets. Finally I have tall wool trenchcoat.
I have three. A Florida cold one, a visit to snowy states one & a rain jacket. My husband, on the other hand, has an addiction. Some even still have the tags on them. And yet, he wears a crappy, ripped up, denim hoodie type thing he found at the infield of a Dayton race. Turn three, to be precise.
just a sugar coat.
Let's see. 1) A black dress coat, 2) a medium-weight winter coat, 3) an older fleece jacket, 4) a newer fleece jacket, 5) a nylon pullover. Then there are 6, 7, and 8) - 3 older coats that don't get worn anymore. I think that's it.
I have many too many (particularly if you include fleece pullovers) for living in such a warm climate (DFW).
I've got my heavy(ish) winter coat that I wear when it gets to be below about 40 deg F. I have a heavier weight fleece jacket and a heavier weight fleece pullover that I wear when it's not quite so cold. I've got a lightweight, canvas jacket, a couple of lightweight fleece pullovers and two waterproof/breathable shells that double as wind breakers/light jackets.
I grew up in Michigan and still love cooler/cold weather. I often have to remind myself that I don't need to buy anymore fleece or sweaters or even long sleeve shirts because I barely have time to wear the ones I have. I miss real seasons.
Winter: 4 (2 active, 2 dress)
Fall: 3 (1 semi-dress, 2 casual)
Spring: 2
Summer: 1 (more of just a rain jacket)
~7 Fleeces & ~6 hoodies that I wear when I don't want to wear an actual coat/jacket.
Zero, not even a windbreaker: Arizona Native
It's sort of become a running joke with my family and friends, I'm 34 and am trying to see how long I can hold out. It's not that I'm stuborn, I just don't get too bothered by cold weather. I'm fine in AZ, the worst it gets here is mid 50's during the day but can get freezing overnight. I do travel for work quite a bit but haven't been stuck somewhere too cold.
Way too many. Still trying to find the perfect dog park, night time dog walking jacket.
I need to get rid of some.
I still don't have a dress coat.
One jean jacket, worn every day.
One long down coat, one short down coat, chosen depending on weather.
One long wool coat, for dress.
