The first rule of getting a good deal is to not tell anyone about it until you purchase it for yourself.

I told some people about a screaming deal once, as they took lunch before me and left work before me. They cleaned out all of the stores that I would have gone to.

I'm looking for a Canon 1Dx camera but I can only find it at regular price at $6799.

Note, I have found it cheaper at other sites but the sites have bad reviews and it appears they are selling the grey market versions.

@baronz: I second that, I'm looking for a cheap-o 32" to mount in my basement. I was hoping to find one around $150 this whole weekend but apparently that was too much to ask for. Oh well!

A super cheap small tablet good enough for playing games and watching videos for my friend who wants one to travel with. I saw some online at around $50-60 on Thursday but they'd sold out before I got to them.

@baronz: My friend picked one up on BF for $150 at Walmart. I got a minimal laptop (enough for the tasks I will be using it for) for $180. But it required a long time standing in line. It served to sharpen my friend's desire for a tablet, as he was bored in his line and I spent the time playing games and watching videos.

@cengland0: It's not the same thing you are looking for, but have you seen this? I don't know much about DSLR cameras so I don't know if this is good or not but when I saw this I thought of your post.

Samsung Galaxy SIII. Sams Club screwed me out of the $0.98 deal. Cell phone sales people are worse/more scummy than used car sales people.

I think retailers are overlooking a very important customer - home improvement nerds like myself who have holiday vacation coming up. We have all this time over the Christmas break and while i find some deals, nothing like it should be. I was looking to buy 5 new ceiling fans and found some okay deals. I know I'm not the only one who does home improvement during our Christmas vacation, hook us up!

@ryanwb: I cleaned out HD of their 50% off plants, and Lowe's of their 50% off trees.
Unfortunately, some of the HD plants were diseased and I had to return them (they didn't seem to care that their nursery was pawning off infected plants)

@moondrake: Thanks but that is a much different camera. The 1Dx is the best on the market right now. I take nature photography and i need the high speed focus and burst rate that cannot be matched my any other SLR camera out there.
