Fencing. Nothin like poking someone with a pointy object and getting rewarded for it.

@okham: As long as it isn't a stick, especially if they are a friend.

Women's gymnastics is an immediate "no", for many reasons. I'm pretty much down with everything else. Swimming is always good: I did that competitively when I was younger, so I have some clue what is going on. Oh, and women's beach volleyball. I love the strategy of the sport.

@okham: That's my favorite too and they never show it on tv in our town! :(

@wilfbrim: Yes, the strategy of the sport (women's volleyball)....hmm...I think I'll have to remember that one! :)

@wilfbrim: I tried that "strategy" line on my wife 4 years ago. I'll try again this year, hopefully with better results.

I haven't paid much attention to the Olympics for a long time. The politics and the corruption and cheating that goes along with the event turns me off. Case in point: the Greek Olympian that was banned for a "racist" tweet a few days ago. I don't see the racism in what she wrote. She was merely pointing out the changing demographics in Greece. If anything, her comment was probably more anti-islamic than racist and frankly it applies to all of Europe. I don't see it rising to the level of banishment.
