Are tablets and mattresses the new Roombas and Leakfrogs?

Seeing a slew of the former and less of the latter, especially over the last few months. Roomba does occasionally surface, but not like it used to.

Have we turned a new leaf? Is the woot favorites of old no more?

Boy, did I ever want to buy one of those that first weekend. Unfortunately, I realized that under my grass was packed dirt that resembled the surface of the Moon...there was no way a Robomower would have been able to get around on that.

Anyway, Woot sold the Robomower at least five or six times in their first year, and then it went away. Times change, products change, business relationships change.

Will we ever see Roombas again? Probably. Leakfrogs? Maybe. Tablets? Definitely. Tablets are the "it" thing right now, and there have been some good refurb/clearance prices on some of them recently. I'd have been surprised if Woot hadn't been selling them.

The mattress thing seems to be working well for Woot, so you'll probably keep seeing those too. In a couple of years, though, people may be wondering what happened to them too.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
