Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, Tagalongs.....do you buy Girl Scout Cookies?
I love all of the above, but Samoas really rock to me. What is your favorite kind?
Samoas and Thin Mints, in that order. I can never have too many Samoas
thin mints. I kind of HAVE to buy them. 2 daughters in 2 different troops, lol!
Samoas for me too. Have you tried the Samoas ice cream? It's made by Edy's or Dreyer's, depending on where you live. Same company just different brand names. Anyway, the ice cream is also pretty good.
Samoas. As a Girl Scout, I loved the trefoils. A good shortbread cookie is always nice. But now I always opt for the Samoas. Did you know that the types offered change from year to year, but 3 types are always available? Those are:
Thin Mints
Peanut Butter Sandwiches (Do-Si-Dos)
Shortbreads (Trefoils)
I love tagalogs. But also thin mints, do-si-dos, and samoas. But the tagalogs are amazing

Edy's Mixed Icecreams RULE!!! Each year when they release the Samoas Blend I buy a bunch and hope that I can get them to last a few months...
I definitely buy a box or 10! I love how the names are regional. I never knew what a Samoa was-it's Carmel Delight around here. Tagalogs are Peanut Butter Patties. And Thin Mints, well, they're Thin Mints here too!
@magiclela: There are actually two different bakeries that make the cookies and they have different names for some cookie types. But, you are right, the Thin Mints are always Thin Mints! Yum. I heard this was also an ice cream flavor now, but I don't remember who makes it.

Here Samoas are still called Samoas. I have always liked Samoas and this year I discovered I also really like Do-Si-Dos. This is our first year having a Girl Scout in our house, so we will likely eat way too many cookies this year!
guess i've gotten too cheap over the years. the thin mints used to be a favorite, but then i couldn't find any for awhile, so i started searching for knockoffs. found that certain store brands had a better, mintier taste at half the price. od on those for a couple months and haven't had any since.
The thin mints are the best.
I would love to, but I know zero girl scouts, and they never seem to set up in the lobby of Kroger anymore like they used to. Caramel deLites all the way, or Samoas for you folks in other parts of the country. I'd also love to order boxes of Dulce De Leche & Thank U Berry Munch, but they're LBB bakery items, not ABC, so we never get them. There's supposedly a new one called Shout Outs I'd like to try too. But again, there's that nagging problem of having no one to order from.
I can't say no... It's not so much the cookies as it is the kids asking so nicely. What am I supposed to say? My wife rolls her eyes at me but I always buy a box or two.. Thin Mints or Samoas (now Caramel Delights)

I'd definitely buy one of every variety if I had the chance, and money to do so. $3.50 a box (on average) is pretty pricey for cookies. That said, Peanut Butter Patties all the way! Noms!
There's an awesome recipe i found for samoas online. they are super simple and taste identical. not to mention incredibly in expensive.
I however opted to make them into a bar cookie instead so i didn't have to screw around with cutting them into circles and whatnot

thin mints... they freeze well... tastes great on a hot summer day
I have to buy at least a dozen boxes of thin mints for DH. Then I hide 11 of the boxes in the back of the freezer and dole out one box per month. If he has all of the boxes in front of him, he will eat them all in a few hours. I have become the Thin Mint Police!
Alright, you caught me, I have a major thin mint addiction. I can polish off a box in one day by myself. And I like to hide a box from everyone else. Trefoils are also super delicious.

The peanut butter ones are the best. The thin mints are also good, then the samoas, then everything else is what you get after these three are sold out.
The Tastycake peanut butter cookies are also very good.
And yes, I work IT. There will always be users with kids that sell cookies, and I will always buy them

Shortbreads are my favorite. I don't think the thin mints are as good as they were years ago. Loved the lemon sandwich cookies, but they dropped those and the lemon ones last year were nowhere near as good.
I love Samoas, but they are so bad for me. I always buy them anyway! I even buy the Samoas Ice Cream when it is available. Those things are soooo good!

I have a niece in Girl Scouts, so by law I had to buy a bunch.
Went with Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, and Thin Mints.

I love thin mints from the freezer--that's the best. I love the Girl Scouts, great group!
@slamit665: Yeah I guess no one wants to know they just consumed and entire weeks worth of calories in one box. It's like Fast Food places. It deters me for sure from buying the good things on the menu...
