What do you think is the best inner city biking gear for commuting to an from work/school?

Bikes: Huge fan of a website called bikesdirect (I got my bike from there 4 years ago now.
Bags: I prefer Chrome over Timbuktu
Shoes: Shoe's you can actually use off the bike, DZR makes some awesome ones, but I can't afford them
Pants: Good ol fashioned jeans? Or do you use something else?
Coats: Depending on the season, I think if you wait for the winter clearance sale at REI you can get a great shell and external coat for 60% off
Gloves: Regular cheap gloves with some touchscreen material sewn in (get it at jo-ann fabrics etc)
Helmet: Any "Nutcase" helmet can be fun.

Pet peeves: People that "have to beat you" to the next light while in their cars, or just have to cut you off to make a right turn... those 3 seconds are soooo crucial.

I'd say a carbon fiber exoskeleton would probably be an awesome investment... Think of it as a "non-water" life preserver.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
