What are your Super Bowl plans?

Do you have people over? Go to someone's place? Party hop? Head to a sports bar?

Or do you skip the whole event, and enjoy the peace and quiet while everyone else's watching the big game?

Usually, I go shopping. It's an excellent day to do so. The malls are quiet, there are (thankfully) very few screaming (or otherwise) children, it's lovely. I spent today shopping, so I'm not sure I'll go next Sunday, but that's a very long time from now.

Shrdlu beat me to it. I spend SuperBowl Sunday shopping for everything except groceries. The grocery stores are packed with people in jerseys deciding on their munchies menu.

@shrdlu: It's a week after this Sunday, fyi. They make sure it's in February these days to get in the ratings sweeps month.

We'll be at the racetrack, they have an NFL room so we can bet on the ponies and watch the game between races. Every Sunday is dollar day, $1.00 beers, $1.00 hot dogs, etc. so it's a cheap date.

I'll be working. Business will be crazy-busy before the game and at halftime, but during most of the rest of the game we'll be slow. One year I cleaned a bunch and still had time to eat some ice cream. :)

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
