It seems you'd need to be more of a chemist than a cook to replicate hostess snacks.


I always preferred Tastykakes...maybe it's a regional preference.


I read some of them and OMG are they hard. I'm not bad in the kitchen but those seem like a very long way to go get a ho-ho. Sort of the difference between making a big mac at home:

Versus my usual method:
1) Go to McDonalds
2) Order
3) Pay
4) Nom.

That way is much easier.
