What is your dream car?
If you could have any car, realistic or not, what would it be. Personally I want a brand new BMW M3 and I think I would enjoy a nice Rolls Royce if money was not an issue. What about you?
Batmobile. That's the only correct answer.
Think back on your choices and regret not choosing Batmobile.
Jeep with 4"+ lift, Dana 44, and a snorkel.
A dark green 2012 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 pick up with the bed full of $100 dollar bills and Salma Hayek buckled up right next to me...
.... hey, you said "dream" so I am going all out....
Remember - this is my dream car...
Crown Vic, with twin-turbo 4.6 making 1,000 rwhp, plus another 500 hp hit of giggle juice on tap. And enough modifications such that said power actually connects.
A car that:
1. Is inexpensive to drive.
2. Is reliable.
3. Is good for the environment
4. Is small enough to fit in my garage but large enough to haul lumber.
5. Is comfortable
6. Is safe to drive
7. Has all the latest electronic gadgets
I have actually met my dream car. I stared longingly at it and went home and wept bitter tears knowing that I could not have it.
It was a 1967 Chevy Impala convertible, painted banana yellow, and restored to beautiful perfection. This car was a thing of beauty, people. Epic poems should be written about this car.
Cobra car or a king size race car bed. Now that's a real dream car.
02 Nissan Skyline GT-R Z-Tune
a bored and stroked RB26DETT taken from 2.6 to 2.8.
All wheel drive, all wheel steering
@purplefeather: I am kind of in that boat. I love old pickup trucks from the 30's-50's. I always imagined getting one and painting it bright yellow with red flames. Then I saw my truck in the parking lot at CiCIs one day. Perfectly restored, bright yellow with red flames, red leather interior, every detail exactly as I had imagined. It was gorgeous. My dream car is that truck, with a modern engine in it. One that I can get parts for and that will get decent gas mileage and limited emissions. I've had opportunities to buy these lovely old trucks, but I think they would do best as a hobby car for someone who knows how to work on them and I do not.
@purplefeather: Do you watch Supernatural? I just remembered that Dean's beloved Impala is a '67.

@moondrake: That's one of the shows that I keep telling myself that I should check out, but never do. He does have a pretty nice car though.
Yeah, I think we're in the same boat. I could always buy a rusty old Impala to restore, but my auto skills end at checking the oil and the odd tire change. I imagine it wouldn't be nearly as fun to own if I paid someone else to fix it up for me.
Still searching for Eleanor.
My favorite car is one that is paid for.
Still the same as it was here. :-D
@purplefeather: You'd need to start from the beginning as a) at this point I think it would be hard to follow the show's mythology and b) Dean's "baby" has gone into hiding and the boys are driving junk cars this season to better evade their enemies. With the Impala and several other regular characters gone, this last season has felt incomplete, hopefully it will settle back in next year. But if you like shows of this type you should definitely check it out. It's one of the few shows on TV where I can get my weekly fix of badass. Sexy heroes, villains that need killin', fast cars, knock-down drag-out fights, gunfire and explosions.
batmobile sux. i think you'd have to be a billionaire to afford the gas and insurance, and in my dreams i'd rather spend the monies on other things.
Hands down, the McLaren F1
Video
Dream car? One that flies.
One that travels through time...like the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12!
For me it's a tossup betwen the candy green '64 Impala that Ice Cube drives in the It Was a Good Day video or a '97 Supra Twin Turbo complete with a couple Turbonetics Super Thumpers with ceramic ball bearings.
Or any current Formula 1 car would do.
Screw cars, I want a TARDIS
I was at a restaurant in Kirkland WA the other day and in the parking lot was The Batmobile. It belonged to a patron that was eating inside. I don't know if it was the original or a replica of the tv show version but it looked pretty cool. I'm not sure I would really want one - I'm more of a pickup guy.
@cowboydann: Sorry, but you are wrong. Optimus Prime (or any transformer for that matter) would be much cooler than the batmobile. Seriously, you know I'm right.
Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. The most powerful roadster...in the world.
Any of the late 60's/early 70's muscle cars. I couldn't choose one.
Jaguar E-Type. And since we're dreaming, this one will be reliable and cost nothing to maintain.
Bugatti Veyron Coolest car on the planet!
@rprebel: We can race our Bugattis while drinking Johnny Walker Blue and eating caviar!
@jseureau: I just spent a non-trivial amount of time looking for a clip of Robin Leech saying "champagne wishes and caviar dreams". I failed. hangs head
That's fine. Caviar is too salty anyway. Looking forward to the race! How about Panama to Patagonia? Start at the bridge and end at...well, at the end of S. America. First one to take a picture with a penguin wins.
@rprebel: This clip has Robin Leach saying it at the beginning of this byte:

@mellielou: That's what I get for limiting my search to videos. Thanks for tracking it down.
Koenigsegg Agera R
A car designed by Tesla. (And I mean the actual person, not the modern car manufacturer)
