I thought this was pretty strange as well, but a quick google search led me to some interesting points about tomahawks being ideal for reuse. No reloading, they are quiet, easy to clean, etc. - possibly a good Zombie Apocalypse weapon?

First Nation Ninjas?

Maybe I should copyright that name for future super hero stories.

@magic cave: Someone beat you to it sort of : First Nation Ninja

I did not embed the video on purpose, as the F word is in use( once or twice and not in a mean way) but don't want to cause any issues w/ that. Some sites get pretty twisted up about language. So do some folks. In the interest of peace I offer the link
So you can look or not.

@ceagee: Well, dang. So much for my momentary thought of untold riches.

EDIT: I looked! But it was sensible not to post the video.

Tomahawks are carried by some special forces personnel in place of or sometimes in addition to a knife. It's an intimidation factor more than anything else, but it has been proven to be useful for the past few hundred years -- why not continue to use it?

Personally, I would be terrified of someone carrying a tomahawk. It seems like you'd have to be crazy for having it

I prefer my tactical rock & stick.

Paint it black and call it "tactical" and people will buy it. I think I'll buy some paper plates and paint them. "Tactical Paper Plates" that I can sell for double the price.

End Rant

No one watched the movie Patriot??
Kind of difficult to shoot at someone when you are forced to dodge sharp objects accurately thrown at you...
Hatchet is larger than a knife and smaller than an axe... Heavy enough to create serious damage but light enough to easily carry one or more...
The Tactics are part of the usage...

@hobbitss You just made me think of starship troopers. "If the enemy's hand is disabled, he can't push a button" XD
