I think you should get the one with the controllers and then you can go "pew, pew" all over the place. That's what I would do.

If this was a serious question I would treat it as such. However, ...

@dailydiscounted: You've got to be kidding. Saying you like shooters is like saying you want the one that uses the electricity to power it up.

Go to Wally World and get a hands-on feel for each one and then decide! Simple, eh?

@zuiquan: Unless they mean online multiplier shooters. Sure, they both have shooter games, but Microsoft has always had the better online gaming experience. (better party chat, easier to find matches, fewer network issues, etc) Additionally, I find the xbox controllers to be more comfortable for heavy-trigger usage games.
My opinion is all based on the last generation consoles, mind you.

@bsmith1: Right, I'm not a mind reader so I don't know what they mean. If people want serious answers to questions it helps if they put some thought into it and tell us what they want. Are all of this person's friends on PS or xboxlive? Do they want a complete home theater system with the ability to play cd's or do they not care? Do they have a favorite title that's only available on one system or the other? All things to take into account. But saying you like shooters is not helpful. Both systems have tons of shooters, both have tons of online (I find PS to be totally fine for online play) and controller preference is really personal. I prefer the PS3 controller to the 360 and online is a tossup for me. When I don't feel like chatting with my friends and only want to battle I'll use the PS3 otherwise I get stuck playing the 360 all day long and finding out all the "fun" stuff everyone is up to.

I strongly suggest the Atari XE. It has a light gun! Flight Simulator is included!
The Ultimate System For The Advanced Game Player

It is the ultimate.

Almost everywhere you go on the internet, asking which is better (especially XB1 and PS4) almost always leads to arguments and negative feedback.

In my opinion, either console works for shooter games. Both consoles has their ups and downs and their similarities and differences.

The only deciding factor I can think of to choose between the two is if you know anyone else that has or is planning to get an XB1 or PS4. It's always funner to play with people that you know on the same system.
