The second lottery ticket I ever bought was for $20. I knew then to quit while I was ahead.

$50 bucks and it bought me and a lady friend a nice meal so yeah since she was only around for a few weeks after that I would say it counts as blowing it ><

I won $100 playing club keno (Michigan Lottery)... 1 number away from getting $2,000... I slowly spent it on more keno over time.

I buy two lottery tickets once a year on my birthday.
One has my birthday numbers (the mega number [or whatever equivalent] is my current age) and the other is a random quick pick.

I've won $2 in my 7 years of playing. Arguably that $2 was rolled into the tickets for the year after.

$1700, when I matched 5 of 6 numbers in my state lottery. Held a lot back for taxes, then paid bills with the rest. I was pretty poor at the time.

I've won $1,000. Twice. The first time, I was 10 and just scratching it for my dad. The second time, I was 16 and scratching it for my mom. Now that I'm old enough to play for myself, I never win.

I won $100 on a scratch ticket once. I used that cash for everyday stuff. (foot, gas, etc)
I almost always "reinvest" any win under $100 because it's like free money at that point. (or at least money I already planned on losing)

I regularly play the big drawings just so I have a little glimmer of hope that one day I'll never have to work again. Probably a waste of money, but at least I can dream.

@milujite: lol, isn't that just the way it is. Funny stuff.
