Do you put up a Festivus pole?
Every year I want to, then I don't. And, I never see anyone in my neighborhood with one outside, so I'm wondering if people ever put one up. They seem easy to make (it's a pole!), and it seems like you can make a desktop sized one for the office pretty easy.
Anyone?

No, I do not celebrate Festivus. I prefer to participate in a more obscure seasonal celebration called Christmas.
I don't take Festivus seriously. I look at it like a funny Seinfeld bit that has been taken too far. I boycott Christmas by not celebrating it.
However, I do have a soft spot for Winter Solstice. I don't really do anything special though.
We actually do at my workplace (I work at a university library). Before we close for the holidays, we have a Festivus celebration complete with pole.
We've modified other traditions--our "feats of strength" are usually office warfare type things (such as shooting items off the top of the Festivus pole with rubber bands). But my favorite is that instead of airing grievances--we write 'em down and burn them in a fire pit. Quite cathartic.
The obscurity to elapsed time ratio doesn't equate, sorry.
I just went to Buzzfestivus last night and saw Chevelle. No pole though.
@scarabkafer: Hey! I celebrate the winter solstice! I always cut a piece of holly on that date from a bush in the yard and put it over my kitchen door. It brings good luck & health for the coming year! (It also falls on my b'day half the time, so I think of it as a celebration for me! lol)
I just convert the strip...er....the um post in my living room to one. The post holds some beams up, not your typical construction for a 1st floor, but I wasn't gonna complain...
But to answer YES, Festivus for the Rest of us!!
