Recipe for Mushroom Soup?
I go to a couple different Japanese restaurants(Shoguns and Mikatas), and both of them serve mushroom soup before the meal. I freaking love this stuff. Its basically just a broth with some chive like thingies and bits of mushroom floating at the top... I cannot find a decent recipe like it online.
So if you have any idea what I am talking about and know how to make it. Ill love you long time.

Try making Miso soup, but substitute tofu with mushrooms.
Note that I don't really know the soup of which you speak. However, miso soup is a pretty popular starter since it's cheap and easy. If it's not the soup you seek, it will at least be a delicious failure.
I think that is actually a bouillon/onion soup with mushrooms and chives.
This one looks correct:

This one is slightly different but also looks tasty:

@thefenst You may be right. It might be an onion soup. After googling images to find stuff that looked similar, I saw a few that looked just like it labeled Mushroom Green onion soup. None of them had recipes though. I will give the links you posted a try. Thanks.
It sounds a little like Chinese hot and sour soup: http://wanderingchopsticks.blogspot.com/2007/03/chinese-hot-and-sour-soup.html
Usually has mushrooms, some egg, tofu...I like it, and it's really commonly served in Chinese restaurants. The Japanese stuff is only really served in Japanese restaurants, in my experience.
