I have heard of that technique, but not that specific tool.
Of course, that makes me think of fat Homer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DtbPOXFk00

Interesting tool, but I love the name.

I used this method to find fantastic deals many years ago. Takes the work out of the method.

At first I thought you had met my proctologist.

What is the hit rate on that?
Doesn't eBay auto-correct listings nowadays?

sounds like a nickname, not a tool

@jsimsace: Please don't say that because I have my first consultation appointment tomorrow and I'm already scared.

@cengland0:

I had my first colonoscopy about two months ago. The prep (cleaning yourself out) was the worst part and it really wasn't bad.

My first thought was .... Is that anything like "Man-Hands"

vote-for3vote-against

Wow. i entered one search and i found something selling for about $20 less than any other of its kind...Of course I wont mention it here until after I (hopefully) snag it... ;-)

I thought you meant fat bastard from the Austin Powers movies

@baqui63: Thanks for the words of encouragement. I've had two previous ones so this will be my third. Very familiar with the cleanout process and that was the EASY part.

The first two I was awake during the entire ordeal. The very first one was so painful that I asked the doctor to stop and I will live with my ailment for the rest of my life. He had difficulty getting around one of the bends in the colon so he was banging around in there.

The second one was a bit easier but the doctor kept inflating the colon with air so he could see. I believe it was done at too high a PSI and I was about to explode. The doctor said the amount of gas he was putting in there was normal and not to worry but the pain still hurt regardless of the worry.

Some people have told me that they now put you to sleep. That might help. I just hope I never wake up again -- that will make sure I never have to go through this again 10 years from now.

Woah! Woah!
This thread went from "snag deals on eBay" to "exploratory anal probing" in a hurry.

@j5: Just another traumatic inducing day around deals, right? ;)

@inkycatz: I'm going to have to go post a Chick-Fil-A deal to recover from this.

@j5: Sometimes I'd rather get probed than to buy from eBay.

eBay used to be a nice place to sell your extra crap you have around the house. It has really changed.

So I am looking to purchase a widget and found it at Target for $100. I then look online for a better price and discover several online retailers sell it for $80. Wow, I could really get a good deal on eBay then, right? So I look and everyone is selling the same item for $200. That's just crazy because I could go into a local brick and mortar store and get it for less.

Don't know how those people sell their products at such a high cost. Suppose they count on people not doing their due-diligence when searching for the best price/company to buy from.

I still buy from eBay but usually only when it is a hard-to-find item and no local stores have it. Usually a part to a broken refrigerator or something like that.

@inkycatz: Wasn't meaning so as to provoke you, meaning the "discussions" on that would cleanse my mind of this thread. :)
