doesn't wrigley's (double mint, juicy fruit etc) still use regular sugar?

vote-for2vote-against

It isn't actually sugar free (well I guess some is). They put sugar-alcohol in it and apparently that isn't considered sugar. There is probably a note on the package saying something like "this isn't a diet food" or "not for weight loss." I don't know why sugar alcohol isn't considered sugar...

@carl669: They use both, but my main concern is finding one without Aspartame (Guess I should have clarified that XD)
Juicy Fruit ingredients: Sugar, gum base, corn syrup, dextrose; less than 2% of: Natural and artificial flavors, glycerol, soy lecithin, aspartame, acesulfame K, hydroxylated soy lecithin, color (yellow 5 lake), BHT (to maintain freshness)
Doublemint ingredients: Sugar, Gum Base, Dextrose, Corn Syrup, Flavor(s) Natural & Artificial, Contains less than 22% of Glycerol, Aspartame, Arabic Gum, Soy Lecithin, Acesulfame K, Color(s), Titanium Dioxide, Blue 1 Lake, Beta Carotene, BHT

I'll call my dentist and get right back to you. Luckily his the 1 out of 5 who doesn't recommend sugarless gum.

Comment, rather than an answer, when I was younger in the 1950s, 60s, maybe 70s, there was a gum - Beech Nut Peppermint gum - that was way better than Doublemint but it's long gone. I wish someone would bring it back! =( You can get some of the gums mentioned here (in the answers) at Cracker Barrel shops.

@billhinelpaso: 1/2 an upvote for replying after so long, 1/2 an upvote because Cracker Barrel is awesome. =D
