Mario would be a good candidate (good at self promoting--"ITSA ME MARIO") but his "jump on heads, ask questions later" policy of preemption is probably risky-at-best.

Master Chief from Halo. He already has Cortana built in to his suit of awesome. It's like having your campaign manager there at all times, making sure you don't say the wrong thing. That, plus the fact he's intimidating enough to keep the peace between a lot of nations.
