At a movie theater which arm rest is yours?
I've always wondered in good manners, which arm rest is yours?

both of them.
What a random question. For some odd reason I seem to take the left one & leave the right to one.
Depends on who's sitting next to me. Female, it's hers. Kid, it's mine. Another guy, first come first served unless he's elderly, in which case it's his if he wants it.
I lean towards my wife, put my arm around her and let her have the armrest. Usually the way it works out. Other than that I agree with rprebel.
My Theater has lifting armrests, I normally lift the right one, and put my drink in the left one even if I am watching a movie alone, and enjoy the extra space
I usually only use the left one, since my right hand is the one managing the popcorn. But sometimes my husband sits on that side. In that case we share -- one in front, one behind.
I get the back part of each one for my elbows since I usually keep my arms crossed. I don't really like touching anything inside a movie theater with bare hands. :)
I try for both but I always put my drink in the right armrest unless it's taken.
I too am a "both-er," but I'm a righty, so if I gotta choose I go right.
I find sitting on the end increases my odds though. Or if I'm going with somebody who I don't need to sit close to I might even go for the 1-seat gap :)
I take 3 arm rests... The left one, the right one, and the next right one! Hate having my drink sitting on my armrest lol
Usually the left side, since that is the side I sit on. The theater we frequent has arm rests that flip up, so we normally dont have one between us. When we go to another theater, she normally gets the center one (and her side!) because that is the "gentalman" thing to do.
Both of them. Not comfortable sharing an armrest with a stranger.
Usually if the theater is empty I take the seat next to the one person who is there and i put my arms on both the armrests to assert my dominance. If s/he already has their arm on the arm rest I put mine on top of theirs and lock my fingers through theirs and gaze into their eyes until they move.
My way is the only right way of doing things.
@cowboydann: Until one day... They stab you ;(
@rprebel: manners hierarchy -- love it!!
The question is, which one is not mine? I go in owning both. It's up to the person(s) next to me to make a move to knock me off the arm-rest mountain.
The right one. The wife sits to the left of me
@cowboydann: I knew I liked you.
@sweetpea113377: I just realized, that is exactly what I do too!
@cowboydann: Do they even have movie theaters in the Wild West where you live?
