God yes. yes. yes. yes.

I need to get my expanding bottom to the gym stat.

It's also my understanding some of the best deals for joining are after Christmas and into the New Years because all the gyms are competing to become everyone's New Years Resolution gym.

February. Gyms are way too crowded in January.

Ahhh, January, the month where all the machines I like to use are occupied by people who are playing with their ipods or smart phones instead of working out.

I like to call the time from January through the weekend after Valetine's Day "Tourist Season" at the gym. Seems that there are a lot of New Years' Resolution people who join or come back right after the first of the year. But a good portion of them are gone by the middle of February. There's another drop-off right around spring break (middle of March where I am). But part of that is the crowd who moves outside when the weather is nice. A lot of those people are back in late June or early July (I live in Texas) until late-September. We also get an uptick in college students home for the summer, but that balances out the soccer moms who leave when the kids get out of school. Then, come late September, after the "kids are back in school so I'll give the gym another try" tourist mom's are gone, it's nice and quiet and calm through until December.
