Yep, it will be interesting to see if it is as good as the Lord of the Rings series.

Saw it. Alleviated most of my fears from seeing promo photos about the dwarves not looking dwarfy enough. Except for Thorin. Seeing him on a horse (pony?) with no context clues as to his size makes him look like just a man, not a dwarf. And I wish the trailer would show Smaug. Still, I'm ridiculously excited.

For movies I truly look forward to, I avoid trailers and commercials. I will literally cover my ears and shut my eyes if I'm at the theater. It took a couple of long trailers of movies I wanted to see to understand that advertisers can ruin a film by revealing too much. All of the Spiderman movie trailers showed the best scenes, even in snip-it form, then when the scene actually happened, it wasn't a surprise.

For the Hobbit, I've been tempted, but I'd rather be surprised.

Looked pretty awesome! I just re-read the Hobbit, in my opinion, it is a bit more difficult to follow than the trilogy. I feel that the trilogy is much easier for the regular person who doesn't necessarily like fantasy stuff to get into. It sure will be icing on the cake with the trilogy having such a great following though.

Nice. But I can't help but feel like Kili killed John Mitchell.

I've never liked the Hobbit as much as LOTR, but of course I will still enjoy this beautiful movie.
