Any better deals on comparable lenses?
Thanks!
Any pentax lens made in the last 50+ years will fit. If you're OK with manual settings, you can sometimes get fantastic prices on really good optics at pawn shops. I've gotten a few for my wife's k-x, and couldn't be happier with them.
Get the SMC-F 50mm f1.7. It's slightly sharper and cheaper than the f1.4, but a half-stop slower. It's autofocus too! You can get it in F and FA style (FA just looks newer, both are optically identical and both have autofocus). The 50mm f1.7 is my all-time favorite lens, followed by the 100mm f3.5 macro. If you can't find the 1.7 or really want the extra speed, get the 1.4. But the 1.7 is sharper up to about f2.8, where the two lenses equalize.
If you want a fast zoom, I recommend the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8. It's constant aperture, which is really nice. But it's a heavy, heavy lens, and there are some quality control issues with front/back focusing. So buy from a reputable dealer, as you may need to send it back to get a good one.

The 50mm f1.8 is a new lens, and I don't have a lot of info on it. It's reasonably priced though, which will drive down the eBay cost of the older autofocus fast 50s.
