Does anyone have a nice Thanksgiving story to share?

I was in the supermarket checkout line last night chatting up the people around me. Of course at the grocery store the conversation started with Thanksgiving, the price of turkeys,the best place to shop for holiday food etc. I shared that my friend and I might be going to a restaurant for the first time this year since the whole feast thing seemed too much for just the two of us. The lady in front of me was trying to choose between the blu-ray or the DVD of Brave for her daughter who was home with strep throat. I suggested she might want the combo pack as it was only $7 more for three formats and she could give the other two away to friends and family. When she finished checking out she wrote down her address and invited me and my friend to spend Thanksgiving with her family. Of course I am not going to do it, but I was really touched by her kindness. Do you have any good stories yet for the holiday?

Nothing yet. It may have to get a little closer for things to start happening.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
