I am looking for a good smoker to cook with..any suggestions?
I will be purchasing a smoker in the next couple of weeks, but I am not sure what is good in my price range ($200 or less). Thoughts...
My neighbor is always smoking, want his number?
@zarfus: YOU BEAT ME TO IT
@woothulhu: What can I say, I'm on fire ;)
I have one of these. It works quite nicely.

Go to Craigslist, buy homebuilt. Everything else is overpriced,& it's likely made by someone who actually DOES smoking, so you'll likely get some helpful hints.
@havocsback: Yea, I've actually heard of garbage can smokers being the best kind.
A lot of the homebuilt ones are great - but if you are going for a retail style -

I have the char griller duo - add on the smoker box and you have a very versatile grill/smoker. I also noticed that "Down Home with the Neely's" on the Food Network use it. They are big time smokers, so good enough for them, good enough for me, good enough for you?

Being the Die Hard Alton Brown Fan i am,(and like AB, Don't believe in paying a bunch of money for something i can make myself) I humbly Submit the Following clips for your perusal.
How much do you want to smoke?
I have a big ol Weber, and it does fine for 2 to 5 people.
If I wanted to do it more often, or for larger amounts, I'd have a diy (ugly) drum smoker. They're really easy to make and use, and can make mass quantities of good smoked meat.
