I love Golden Eagles. There's nothing like watching one drop down out of the sky, striking a pigeon mid-flight like a bullet, like death on wings. Beautiful birds, and efficient killers.

Pity you said animal, or else I'd have nominated the Preying Mantis.

Bald Eagles are fun, too, although slightly less lethal.

Hey, guys, an "animal of prey" is an animal which is preyed UPON, not the predator.

Bunnies are my favorite animal of prey because their little twitchy noses are adorable. Favorite predator is a black jaguar (Panthera onca).

Killer Whales. They combine body-surfing and seal hunting. Almost as awesome as combining surfing and skeet-shooting.

I'd have to go with owls too. There don't need to be as fast as a hawk because they are deadly silent. They are nature's ninjas.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.
