Do B&N and other ebook sellers offer lots of e-book deals the way Amazon does?
I have several Kindles, and by now, a decent Kindle library. As I wish to avoid total dependence on Amazon and to spread the wealth around some, what are some alternatives for great deals on e-books. (I just got a Nook Tablet, intending to boot to Jelly Bean via the microsd card. Even if I go that way I can load the various e-reader apps on it - if I boot to the B&N interface, is it an awesome device that way?)
B&N has a Free Fridays book every week for the Nook. You can check the blog on Fridays to see what the new book of the week is: http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/The-NOOK-Blog/bg-p/Unbound
Not always my cup of tea, but I have found some good books this way. Also, there are some additional free books usually posted in the comments on the Free Fridays threads.
Enjoy!
If you are interested in Christian books, B&N usually has the books that are listed in this deal also for free.
Just search the "shop" for the books and go from there.
