Does anyone really care about some wedding taking place over in England?

I'm so sick of all the news coverage of the "royal wedding" over here in the US. Doesn't the media realize we that 1) we are not British, and 2) we don't care for royalty?

According to the NPR reports I've been hearing we, U.S. residents, are expressing more interest than those in England. :p

I'm sick of almost everything I've been hearing on the news... The royal wedding seems pretty innocuous by comparison.

Anyway, no I don't care either.

From what i've seen personally, the only people who really care in America are the people who wouldn't be able to find England on a map(which is why there's so many of them).

No. I can't wait till it's done and over with. It has nothing to do with us. All the local news stations have somebody over there to cover this. WHY? Aren't all the major networks covering it, what is the need of a local journalist to go over and report what color the flowers were.

I saw something were a couple came from England over here to avoid the hype and they said that we are even crazier about it over here.

I remember when I was young, people who read the National Inquirer or Sun Magazine were not looked upon in the greatest light, and now it seems like those and celeb gossip are the best selling mags out there. Our priorities are screwed on every front.
