Can you see a difference between a 120 and 240 refresh rate non-3D TV?
I have a 3D TV at 240Hz refresh rate. I think that makes a difference than a 120Hz because it will have less flicker when wearing the 3D shutter glasses.
My brother says he can look at a non-3D TV and, if it's at less than 240Hz, the picture looks horrible. I cannot tell the difference myself because all my other TV's are LCD with a lower refresh rate and they all look the same.
NTSC is 29.97 frames per second so isn't that what we are displaying on the TV? How can a higher refresh rate make the picture better if we only receive approximately 30 frames a second anyway?
Please note, I'm only talking about non 3D TVs because I do understand the difference if you have to wear shutter glasses.
