Do you think Woot should have a "Bag of Not Crap"?
I think they need to add a surprise "Bag of Not Crap", charge something like $49.00 and put in some good stuff that's sitting around, electronics, etc.
Would you buy the "Bag of Not Crap"?

It's a random bag of crap. Some bags get good stuff, why would you want to pay extra for it?
@oheifearnain: To ensure it's something decent. The case of Disney CD-ROMs that were compatible with the Disney video camera (that I don't own), the Dirt seasoning (about the same as most seasonings), the pedometer and the wine bag were fun but I'd be willing to pay a little more to get some better items :)
I'd even go up to $99...maybe.
I find the bag of crap a fun novelty purchase. I know I am probably wasting my 8 bucks, but it is entertaining. I would not buy a bag of non crap.
Nope because what you would consider decent other people might not. I mean, what kind of decent would you expect for $49. Or $99?
Save your $99 and spend it on something you want, and you know what you are getting.
I think the bag of crap is a cheap way of clearing out the warehouse and a lot of fun for the community. The problem with a better bag is good stuff is something different for everyone. How would you guarantee it was good?
Edit: What @Jazcat said.
@goldiemcg: I have always been satisfied with my Baskets of Carnage that I have purchased.
I understand the novelty of the BOC and I certainly understand that it's a warehouse cleaning tool. I was just wondering if anyone was willing to gamble on a higher dollar BONC, that's all. Thanks for the comments!
@goldiemcg: I understand that, but if Woot offered a more expensive version of the Bandoleer of Carrots then people would feel more entitled to receive this-or-that kind of products. I think it would be more of a headache, similar to the one occurred when people complained about buying the Boots of Captain-Jack as one instead of the "buy three" option. I've seen many sites have more expensive "mystery" items/boxes/packages/small envelopes and never have I ever seen it pan out okay. Cheers!
No.
If I'm laying out a significant amount of money (more than $10) I want to know that what I'm getting is worth it and something I want.
For a hundred bucks? Forget it.
Liken purchasing a BOC to purchasing a raffle or lottery ticket. When the ticket is cheap, like a $5 charity raffle you'll buy it and not really care if you win or lose. But that $100 or $500 raffle ticket to maybe win a car? That's not for me.
I wouldn't. There are plenty of things that I want that I can get for $49 or $99. The Woot BOC is like a lottery ticket. I might get a real prize, but more than likely it will be exactly what was advertised. When I've been fortunate enough to buy the BOC, the wait for it to arrive was so exciting. I've always been able to laugh at the crappiness when it arrived. I can't imagine I'd get that "thrill of victory, agony of defeat" from what you describe.
I would just like to be able to land a BOC as I always seem to just miss it.
If it was more expensive I don't believe I would continue to try to obtain the elusive prize..that may or may not be all that worthwhile in the end. I can only imagine what joy holding a BOC will bring and continue watching for it.
After all, isn't it the journey that truly makes us greater, not the prize.
When I get a bag of crap, I'm really hoping for a boggy 'ol creature. If that doesn't come, then it better be a box of cats. If all else fails I'm happy with a big old cookie.
I've never had a boc I didn't like & have always been comfortable with throwing $8 @ woot & not caring what I get in return. Spending more than $8 though would be out of my comfort zone.
