Anyone interested that DIRECTV and PlayStation are bringing NFL Sunday Ticket to PS3?
Season price is $339.95(Holy Sh*t!). Existing DIRECTV customers who already have NFL SUNDAY TICKET and NFL SUNDAY TICKET To-Go through DIRECTV can access the service on their PS3 for no additional charge.
NFL SUNDAY TICKET is a DIRECTV-exclusive sports package that offers:
•Up to 14 NFL games every Sunday
•Full HD for every football game
•DIRECTV’s Red Zone Channel
I had this pointed out to me by a friend and was wondering if it was a good deal to the super fans out there. Directv doesn't work by me so this would be a good deal if I was a super fan, I'm not, but thought I'd share if anyone was. If people are paying that much money for Sunday Ticket already I guess it only makes sense to use the PSN to reach all those out of area or in bad reception.

It certainly provides another way to catch sports games without needing cable/satellite for those who have cut the cord. Certainly a steep sounding price to me, but still half of the typical cable bill for a year, not to mention whatever they add on top of that for the package.
Holy sh*t is right... glad i live in a place where i can get my packers!
great googly moogly! does this let you watch every single game? vs just whatever local teams are available for free on local channels?
@w00tgurl: Sunday Ticket lets you watch every game... but a lot of games are simultaneous. If you have a DVR you can record one and watch another.
Anyway, it's way to pricey for me, but I like to pick it up free when I can. We got it for free when we signed up, free when we moved the sat when I moved, and we got it free for this year because they screwed us royal and we threatened to move to dish network.
As for having it for PS3, that is kinda cool, but if you have your ps3 somewhere, you could probably also have dish. The only thing I see it being useful is if you are going to a friends house or something who doesn't have cable or whatever.
@trinnic: I thought you had to have some form of DirecTV programming to get the NFL Sunday ticket? If so, you're going to spend probably $700 a year for the programming plus the $340 for the Sunday ticket package. I'm not entirely sure, I have dish so i'm likely wrong
@rockytrh: "but if you have your ps3 somewhere, you could probably also have dish."
Uh...the PS3 is like XBOX and Wii, a way to play video games and more. Has nothing to do with reception. Anyone can play these systems anywhere with electricity.....
no
@captainsuperdawg : You do not need DirecTV service, just a PS3 that has an incoming internet connection.
No, I'm not.
