i like to place mine gently on the neighbors' doorsteps, set a small fire to them, then ring the doorbell and run and watch from a hiding place.

i get more than what i paid for them, so they come out to good deals. they're hard to get but i know a kid. there's a technique to the bags of crap.

Basically, once during each woot-off, and at a few other strategic times throughout the year, Woot will offer up a 'bag of random crap' as an item. They're very popular, and they have a limited number available, so it basically cripples the woot SSL site when they come up because so many people try to order at once. If you're one of the lucky people to snag one before they sell out, you'll get 3 random items and one bag of some type. The items could be anything from stickers, to a nice LCD tv, to a pallet of car wax or left handed putters.

I can tell you that I scored once... I received some interesting crap. 35mm 3D camera, hat, HDMI extenders, backpack, and some other crappy item. Very fun and very difficult to get.
