What's with the rude comments lately?
It seems like there have been a lot of people lately that have been rather rude in the comments section, by calling people names and lots of ad hominem attacks... Can't we all just get along? I don't like singling people out, but most have tended to be white triangles with nothing else to their name but poorly crafted invectives and nonsense.

Invective...nice one.
No. This is teh interwebz. For every level headed, composed, educated individual trying to respectfully make a point, there are 100 assorted trolls, griefers and just plain a-holes.
To paraphrase Eric Cartman, if you want some quality posts, you have to wade through all the crap.
[MOD: Edited last word]
I agree with all the hate lately, there is way too much here.
Oh shut up - no one likes all you hoity-toity black triangles.
Why don't you just go jump off onto a penguins back and swim to Antarctica?Your heart must be as cold as ice.

White triangles are like the innocent children of woot. They say the first thing that comes to their mind and you can't stay mad at them because they are just being honest. And look at their cute faces!
ALSO: insert a comment that is so incredibly rude that it would definitely be wedited here
@w00tgurl: I'll take two!
@abramokids: they're mine! all mine! greedy little boy voice
@abramokids: one lump or two? *in Bugs Bunny voice* lol
i remember one especially rude comment black friday weekend. the deal was an xbox and kinect package deal for $199 on amazon lightning deals. someone posted it and when the deal went live it immediately sold out and went into a waitlist. some person i've never seen before commented, calling the OP all kinds of names and telling him off for having posted the xbox deal that the commenter missed out on buying it. it was unreal to me, an honest to goodness cussing out on deals.woot! for posting a very good deal!
the comment was downvoted heavily and the person came back to apologize. but still... i wanted to scream "that's what crowdsourcing is!"
I asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago (see below). I guess that good manners and respect don't apply to the internet. I think the internet allows people to make negative and/or disrespectful comments with anonymity and has weakened interpersonal skills.
@aksman44: It's unfortunate really.
Some people just don't have any class. And unfortunately, the internet has afforded them anonymity, so the worst of them came out unhindered.
Ditto great choice of word: invective. :)
Lately? Have you not been around here very long? The trolls they come and they go. Such is life.
+5000 internets for knowing enough Philosophy of Logic to properly use the term ad hominem. :)
It's just so easy to be a jerk when you can hide behind a screen name. I doubt all the trolls would be so rude in person, for fear of getting punched in their Cheetoh-ringed mouths.
Tis' the Season.
I like cheezy poofs! (sarcasm and humor)
Too much idle time and not enough deal hunting, IMO.
@inkycatz: Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!! :)
@w00tgurl: I'll take one!
