A $150k pool cue. I actually thought it was an interesting item, I was wondering where it went as well. Woot! might be implementing some new rule where super-expensive things no longer qualify as deals? Who knows. Where's @wootbot when you need him?

I think there is a rule about there has to be a certain number of items available. At least for ebay deals at least...

It is hard to tell if certain items are really a good deal or not and we are on Deals.woot.com. When it is something that may not be on sale just a cool item I have seen it taken down before. There are always exceptions to this rule but they may have determined that it was in fact not a deal.

$150K for a pool cue? in what universe is that a deal? For that much money, you'd probably have more fun buying 2 or 3 Congressmen.

One-off items are not allowed on Deals.woot.

That's my understanding. Hence sites like etsy and such aren't allowed.

@magnetproshop: wait, wait, wait. So how exactly is a under 1% discount on a $150,000 item a deal?

I would think that's why it got removed.

@woadwarrior: That's insulting to Congressmen....

I think it would take more than $50K to buy one. They might be whores, but they're not CHEAP whores.

@anotherhiggins: Remember, we're talking Congressmen, not Senators. Pretty sure a congressman would have to be from a powerful district, chair important committee or similar to command $50K... The small fry can be got for only four-figures, I would guess.

@anotherhiggins: Congress Critters have been purchased for as little as 20k, or even less.

I've seen it in action.

You know what they call 500 politicians at the bottom of the ocean?

A good start.
