It convincing me that I should stick with Android since it has had the capabilities of iOS 5 for a while.

@justincredibleg: I tend to agree with you. I have an iphone 4 from work so I don't complain much because it's, you know, free... My wife's got an android and seems to like it; she had an iphone before that.

I'm excited. I just hope this "question: doesn't become an andriod vs apple war... as @justincredibleg is showing might happen.

Love Apple, or Hate Apple... Either way it's an obsession.

Excited about cloud capabilities and being able to "cut the cord". Siri looks neat.

I could care less, but my wife has an iphone. Is the upgrade free? I seem to remember other OS upgrades cost money..wtf is that about?

@zarfus: I've had iPhones since the 3G (3G, 3GS, 4) and the ios updates never cost money.

@fivemtz: well maybe she's crazy then, im cool with free.

@zarfus: for iTouches, sometimes they had a fee. But this update is completely free! All iPhone iOS updates are/were free. However, original iPhone and iPhone 3G will not have any more updates.

@woothulhu: Siri is not part of ios 5. It is only on the iPhone 4S.

I am looking forward to checking out the new notifications system and having the ability to wirelessly update/sync.

The cloud capabilities are a scam designed by Apple in an attempt to get more money out of their users.

Free 2GB of space is not enough for most users who have iPads/iPhones. It's a way to bait you into purchasing additional space for a monthly fee.

I just wish I could sync my iPod with the iTunes on my iPad, since I rarely every add new music. I usually just edit play lists and wish I could swap that to my iPod w/o having to sync my iPad to my computer so I can update my iPod.

I do hope it fixes the Exchange event glitch! Tired of it saying I have 18,000,000 appointments every time I turn it on.

@bogie21: The 2 GB doesn't count all apple music and many other things like apps and such. It should be plenty for most people.

i would hope the update bricks all of your iphones, but the resulting repurchase or warranty trade-ins would technically increase consumption and have the opposite effect desired

My download just crashed like Steve Job's blood pressure. Argh!!
