I plan on eating more fried foods. Just because I can!

@mtm2: no fried twinkies, though. Hope you got those in before the death of the twinkie.

I really want to get back in shape this year. I gave up drinking a few months ago and as a result I gained 15lbs (which seems a little unfair!) if I don't end up getting the weight off, that's fine. But good Lord I need to control my eating habits.

I woke up the other morning on the couch with nutella on my PJs....never again!!!

@trekmiss: Twinkies aren't gone. Someone bought out the snackfood portion and they're supposed to be back shortly.

But then, I don't care for Twinkies anyway.

I tasted a fried twinkie at the fair this past summer. I really didn't care for it. Now, funnel cake on a stick was another story! It was awesome!

I thought I'd share a before and current photo to show my progress. This has been a long journey for me, and it looks to be a lifelong journey to keep healthy.

Size 4X on the left and an AA MXL Woot shirt on the right. A difference of 140 lbs.

@trekmiss: you look beautiful, WAY TO GO!!!!!

@trekmiss: That is awesome! I admire you for changing your habits and being able to stick with it. That is soooo hard to do! I gained a good bit of weight after having two kids. I lost thirty two pounds at the end of 2009 and kept almost all of it off until this year. I gained almost twenty pounds back and I didn't change anything to cause it. I'm beyond unhappy with myself right now. I've gotten about five of those off, but I still want to get rid of the extra 15, plus another 10-15. I'm hoping to be more active in the coming year. It doesn't help that my husband constantly tells me not to lose any that he 'likes the way I'm built'. While that's sweet and all, (and I'm glad that he feels that way) it doesn't help that I hate the way I look and having to wear my 'fat' jeans.

Got to lose more weight... Tough this time of year since it is dark most of the time all I want to do is eat and sleep...
Cutting back on the Coca-Cola and eating more Protein...

I want to be snide or flippant, but just can't do it. I dropped 30 pounds earlier this year and put 10 back on over the last two months. Goal is to knock those out and more to boot.

@kmashaney: @meandsecoya: Thanks!

It does take some discipline, but I feel so much better these days. The hardest part was coming to grips with the fact that I cannot eat like other people. 1200 calories a day isn't much, and some days it seems like nearly nothing! You'd think I'd lose lots at that rate, but these days it comes off about .5 lbs a week. That's all. Hoping more regular exercise will help.

I've already quit smoking, but I could stand to take off about 10 pounds that I gained as a result. It was a good trade-off though. :) The tough part about that is that I'm a little on the lazy side....

@trekmiss: Wow, congrats you look FABULOUS!!!!! Ever consider the green drink diet? I have hit a plateau as well and I am hoping to break it with the green drink for a week or so. Picked up a Vita-mix and will try it out next month. You have NO CHOICE but to cheat this time of year. Don't beat yourself up, just make up for it next month. Again, keep up the amazing work, you look fantastic!

I would like to try dropping another 10-15 pounds in 2013. I was 320 at the beginning of the year and I am down to 203 as of today. If I can get down to 185 or so I would be VERY HAPPY!! I haven't broke 200 pounds since I was like 10. So 2013 will be fine tuning my diet and creating a healthy eating plan to maintain the loss.

Health & Happiness to all in 2013!

I gained about 12 pounds last year and about 7 the previous year due to various stressful incidents (I'm a stress eater and cookies are my comfort food...not a good combination). So I'd really like to drop at least 15-20 lbs. Fortunately I'm already in pretty good shape and I know that dropping some weight will make working out easier, particularly the body weight exercises we do in my bootcamp class. So that's my main resolution. Just going to take some willpower and rebooting the eating habits to make it stick.

The household goal is to get back into our routing that just got lost last year. Workout 5x a week, eat according to plan, and for me - stay away from nicotine! I've been quit for just about 2 months now and I think this is the one that sticks!

vote-for4vote-against

@coondogg97: Wow! Congrats to you, too! That is quite an accomplishment! As far as the green drink, etc. I've been determined to learn to eat for my body using normal food. I've done some quick fixes, but the results never last. I'm in it for the long haul, no matter how long it takes to reach my goal. Then I have to learn to maintain.

@thumperchick: Keep up the good work! You can do it!

To stop having dinners for four..., unless there are three other people involved.

vote-for4vote-against

@thetexastwister: Oh ya... I know that meal plan...
Had to stop cooking Pasta because I would then sit down and eat half of everything I cooked... Box says 6 servings how come I only get 2 out of it???

vote-for2vote-against

@trekmiss: You are amazing! I went low carb over a decade ago and dropped more than what I weigh now. I tend to live in a more paleo/primal way these days. The only drawback to living this lifestyle is that when I DO go off the path, the weight gain is quick and bigger you can believe.

Getting the weight off is the easy part. Keeping it off it the hard part. I call my reconstruction scars & stretch marks my "battle scars" because that's what they are. It's a life long war against my body's metabolism.

@lavikinga: Thank you! I know what you mean by lifelong war. That is what this is shaping up to be. Congratulations on your accomplishment!!

vote-for1vote-against

@hobbitss: Wait? You mean you actually get two whole servings out of it? I am eating too much.

Well, I finally bought a decent sport bra AND found my jump rope (today!), so my big plan is to jump up and down more. All good things will no doubt follow.
