questionswhy do woot & wine.woot have 2 separate order…

I imagine it makes it easier for the woot powers that be to have the separate entities under one roof. Sort of like department store shopping.
Kids.woot and shirt.woot have their own My Account as well.

The ordering rules are a bit different and the wine woot offerings aren't daily. Remember, you can be drunk when UPS or FedEx delivers your Bag of Crap, but you darned sure can't be drunk when your wine is delivered. The restrictions:
* Wine sold by winery
* You must be 21 or older to order
* Whoever receives the package must be 21 or older
* If you're drunk when the package shows up, you will not be allowed to receive it
* Wine cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box
* We highly recommend you use a business address as your shipping address
Plus, there are all those buzz-killing states that vary from wine maker to wine maker (or their distributors).

@xdavex: Thanks! I do understand. Sorta. Maybe. Still think it could be done under one My Account. They could have sub-categories, i.e. woot, wine.woot, kids.woot and shirt.woot. As I said, nbfd, just ever-so-slightly annoying.

Don't mean to cause woot any angst. As if I could!! ;-) A related aside: When I order from any other website that has many different departments (i.e. Amazon ::snicker::), all of my orders are listed together.

@lavikinga: Drunk? Me? Wouldn't dream of it. But if I were, wouldn't it be easier to just look in one My Account to see exactly how much wine and other NEEDED items I've ordered? :-D

Since I don't have a sensible answer; woot uses monkeys and Amazon employs real people with a much larger operating budget.

@gmwhit: They've talked about joining them all up, as I recall (they == @snapster et al). I think it still gets set aside, for other, more important changes.

Personally, I prefer it. Amazon has fancy search tools so that I can reorder or sort through items I've bought, and I just think of the five separate Woot accounts as a considerate pre-sort.

LOL Sensible answer? I didn't even have a sensible question. Thanks for responding in a kind manner.

Now another question: Are you certain about the woot/monkey and Amazon/real people scenario? Really, really certain?

There are FIVE separate accounts? FIVE?? Quieting counting... 1. woot 2. wine.woot 3. kids.woot 4. shirts woot. Is there a SECRET link to another woot? BTW: finding moofi.woot was hard enough, but it's not separate. deals isn't either.

Cough up that fifth site, shrdiu. Pretty please??? (So hope I'm not going to feel like a idot(sic) when I hear what the 5th is.)

@gmwhit: Technically, these are/were the five, six if you count moofi.
