I thought girth was more important.

vote-for1vote-against

I like it, I like it, yes, sir!

vote-for3vote-against

Looks like somebody fat-fingered the page-length code.

(I just noticed this)

vote-for3vote-against

"Am I losing my mind or did the pages on deals.woot get longer?"

Which one of those questions do you want me to answer? ;-P

vote-for3vote-against

@jsimsace: Ohay, that link only having monaural sound confused me sooo much.

vote-for4vote-against

Agreed. Definitely longer.

vote-for3vote-against

@gmwhit: never apologize for that. I love a wandering, off-topic discussion. :)

vote-for3vote-against

Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

vote-for4vote-against

@iggz: I do believe you're right! Short attention span. Impatience, whatever. And now, maybe we should just consider it a longer than usual one page stand.

vote-for3vote-against

So...this discussion on the new enhanced length of deals pages reminds me of a Mick Jagger song. Not sure why. Couldn't be the lyrics. Maybe I like him? ;-)

Apologies to @oakham. I seem to have gone somewhere OT. And, at great lengths.

vote-for4vote-against

I'm going to assume it's because most people just look at the first page then go somewhere else.

@belyndag: Makes mental note to request a BOC from belyndag when offered. :-D

vote-for5vote-against

@jsimsace: Ahhhhhh. Width is good, too. Though, the deals pages haven't changed in that particular area. They're more than adequate for me. True. Trust me.

Note: The Widescreen phenomena might just be to accommodate those people on Walmart. :-\

An aside: Loved Redd Foxx - saw him in person in Las Vegas. Funny, funny man. While he was doing his dialogue, he was drinking what looked like a bourbon/rocks. Finished the drink. Held the glass w/ice by his crotch, tipped it down and said, "Eskimo taking a leak." (I know, I know, it's sounds very tame. Hysterical at the time. Maybe I'm easily amused?)

@gmwhit: LOL! I said that was a loooooooong time ago! Di passed away before she could get old and fat (as if she ever would!).

As far as DH, there are days that I would cheerfully box him up and send him off as part of a BOC! I would regret it eventually, but still.......

Note: He's reading this over my shoulder.

vote-for4vote-against

@gmwhit: You notice page length? I thought width was the new length....hence all of the widescreen stuff.

vote-for6vote-against

@belyndag: Riiiiiight ....Someone who's been mistaken for Princess Di? Nope. Unless the photo was for that reason. Please do me a favor, though....if you sink to the really awful, disgusting Walmart people photos...Can I have your Mark Harmon husband? ;-)

vote-for5vote-against

@gmwhit: And I keep expecting to see myself there!

vote-for7vote-against

@rprebel: I understand. It is a very bad side effect. Sobering, too. And scary. And a lot of other adjectives.

vote-for8vote-against

@magic cave: In lieu of a ''Jump to' to button, you could try inserting the page number you want to see in the url.

Example:
http://deals.woot.com/deals/fresh/ mostrecent?page=2

Place a 3 or 6 or whatever where the 2 is shown above. Note: This example is the Fresh tab. It should work on all the tabs. I think you have to be on page 2 to do that.

@gmwhit: Went to People of WalMart. Now I don't want to click anything.

vote-for10vote-against

Pages used to be 15 deals in length; at the moment, they're 30 deals long.

Now if we can just get a "jump to __" button, so we don't have to scrollscrollscroll to get back to last Monday's page. (Having to scroll only half as much doesn't really solve that particular problem.)

vote-for15vote-against

@rprebel: Oh....so very sorry. Premature pagination seems to be your problem. Might I suggest thinking of baseball stats? Perhaps, imaging other less exciting pages. Check out K-Mart's web site. Better yet - The People of Walmart. That one should fix any excitement.

vote-for10vote-against

@gmwhit: It's nice to know that's an option, but I only got a quarter of the way down the page before I felt an uncontrollable urge to click.

vote-for8vote-against

Insane. Clearly insane.

Unfortunately, I have obviously gone insane as well. It sure looks longer.... NO! It's just a DELUSION!

vote-for14vote-against

@mtm2: I have no idea what you're talking about. ::blink, blink:: Though...I will say that the longer length of the deals pages does invoke stamina in some. It aids in giving additional patience. You may even last longer when sorting through the deals. Alas, 4 hours is still too much. Really. O.o

vote-for11vote-against

@gmwhit: Does that mean deals.woot bought some of that stuff advertised on the web?

vote-for21vote-against

Fabulous! This means I can sort through the scores of cruddy non-deals posted by some of the sellers to find the real deals posted by the rest of you guys a whole lot faster. Thank you, Woot Staff! I heartily approve of this change!

vote-for25vote-against

Most definitely longer. I notice length.

vote-for15vote-against

It seems they are longer, there are only 5910 pages now.

vote-for18vote-against

@jsimsace: Seems to have started sometime today; I don't remember seeing it this morning.

@hackman2007: Unfortunately, with the amount of time both of us spend here, mutual craziness can not be ruled out.

vote-for27vote-against

Seems longer to me as well. You are not crazy!

Unless both of us are :)

vote-for27vote-against

I was scrolling down earlier and was thinking that the pages sure seemed longer. Did it start today?
