@wootfast: Server was by @cowboydann so maybe he'll be down for tomorrow. We only played for a couple hours tonight.

Either way I'm in.

So @1298ty came up with the great idea of making a Woot! steam group. He says Woot! is already taken so I do a search only to find it has been done and @gatzby is an admin to it.

It's a public group so I suggest we use that to have wooter gaming sessions, unless it's a secret staff hangout that was mistakenly left public.

@skippykj: I added this TF2 server room to my favorites so I can go right to it next time. Plus I got Dungeon Defenders, looks like all the cool kids started playing that recently

@w00tgurl: That's what I thought. $3 isn't bad but I'm not buying all those DLC packs. This was my 1st time and it looked just ok but I also had very little clue as to what I was doing.

Be prepared for some slightly inebriated chatter over the microphone. He is a cowboy after all.

Nope, it's an open group containing a few folks that hung out in #woot on GameSurge. Doesn't get much use, but anyone is welcome to join. (There are other super secret Steam groups, bwaha.)

I'm aiming to give 1298ty access to administrative functions, but Steam keeps erroring out when I try to hit the community pages.

@wootfast: Play through the full tutorial and you will figure it out quickly.

I wish I could play tonight but my computer decided to not turn on anymore. I had to watch the last 2 days of thewootoff on my netbook. My weekend will be spent troubleshooting.

@skippykj: everybody place your bets on why skippykj computer crashed. im guessing a bad power supply. This happened to my system a few months ago. i used a meter to test it. lots of videos to see how to test it, search for 'bad power supply'

@wootfast: I thought power supply too but it could be the motherboard.

I (intensionally) shorted the pins to start it up and it did. Tonight I'll have to break out the multimeter and test the voltages. I'm crossing my fingers that is the problem as I can have it up and running right away then.

My last power supply failure (many years ago with completely different hardware) melted my northbridge chip on the motherboard and started smoking. Nothing like the smell of an electrical fire.
