Why hasn't Wacom made a portable drawing tablet yet?

Wacom has been making giant advanced drawing tablets for years. With the tablet revolution firmly underway, it's amazing to me that they have not made their own portable tablet or licensed out the technology to another company.

samsung galaxy note 10.1. the s-pen uses tech licensed from wacom.

My Thinkpad X60 tablet has Wacom tech on the screen.

My son has a Samsung Slate - full Windows tablet. He loaded Photoshop on it with the Wacom drivers. Works great. Too bad they discontinued it.

Because they make digitizers and license their tech to others.
Now, a more appropriate question is why hasn't Wacom made a proper pressure sensitive stylus for use with the major tablets?

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
