I wish I had a telescope -- or even a decent pair of binoculars. I'll stare at the sky tonight, but I live in the city, so there's a ton of light pollution.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... KABOOM!

Thanks for the heads up (and for the approximate location). I'll be looking for it. Haven't used the old telescope for a while now.

@curtisuxor: Depending on your location, don't wait too late to view it or it may dip below the horizon. Most of the sites I have been to, say to try and catch it before the moon comes up.

thanks for the info! time to break out the telescope i've never used!

@theoneill555: How long do my arms have to be to catch it before that moon rises?

Too bad. My telescope broke when I moved a couple years ago. I'll grab my pair of binocs and see if I can't catch a glimps.

Thanks for the info!

Ill try to find it with my telescope, but I have a hard time finding the moon lol.

And if you had a very large microphone you would hear God say, "Hey y'all, watch this!"

@theoneill555: Apparently your question is so awesome that Deals.woot put it on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/deals.woot/posts/114435581993138

Yeah...this is creepy because I JUST started re-reading this book TODAY and did not know about this. The book is about a star going supernova and its soul being blown into 6 parts which find their way into human children and grants them superhuman abilites.

Although I have always dreamed of attaining super powers through an event such as this, the likelihood of this turning everyone watching it into flesh eating zombies is far greater I think.

You won't need a telescope. It will be easily visible as it RAINS DOWN FIRE AND BRIMSTONE UPON US AND BOILS THE BLOOD OUT OF OUR VEINS AS PUNISHMENT FOR ALL OUR TRANSGRESSIONS

Huh? What was I saying? So yeah, I wish I had a telescope.

@abramokids: Isn't it crazy what some people put on their facebook pages?

I will try (I have cheap 10x25 binocs) but, I live in a valley :-/

Sadly, it's overcast and foggy here in the supersoaked northeast.

I live in Colorado and am heading up to the mountains for a hut trip this weekend. I was debating whether or not to lug my telescope along and this made up my mind for me. Very excited to check it out!
