I don't know about ANY 360 controller, but my AfterGlow worked on my laptop. But that is the only wired controller I own. :-/

Would you believe me if I told you I use a wired Xbox 360 controller on my Android Tablet (ASUS TF700) to play 3D games like Dead Trigger? It's awesome! No drivers needed and it works right out of the box.

I tried to use my PS3 controller but the bluetooth protocols were proprietary and I had to root the tablet and install 3rd party drivers but that works now too.

As long as it's an official MS controller then yes you can. Just plug it into the USB and it will install the driver.
You can use wireless controllers too. Just use your plug and play cord. You can go wireless, but you need a wireless adapter. Like this one.

@cengland0: I believe you, I've seen it.

yes, you can also use the old xbox control in windows as well but it takes some solder and matching wires to an old usb plug.
