Too similar to other deals, posting on behalf of a company but not using a username that references that fact,

Your "sale price" looks to be almost exactly the same as the price of your non-sale items.

Ohhhhh, but am I allowed to create another Woot ID for my business? I would have 2 WOOT ID's then, both with different email address though. My current Woot ID was here before I every started the business "The550CordShop™"

@omnichad: Regular price is $11.25 for 100 feet
Sale Price is $10.00 for 100 Feet

Almost every other "deal" you've ever posted was for your regular retail price, so that might have people prejudiced against you in the first place.

vote-for5vote-against

@omnichad: Maybe, but a post should not be deleted because of prejudice.

What about all caps?? I put it in ALL caps the first 2 times, is that a violation?

@gthuffines: Drop a note mentioning @prettywootprincess and they'll help you change your ID.

I just don't think an 11% discount amounting to only $1.25 is going to get much of a response from the community here.

@gthuffines: ABSOLUTELY! All caps is poor Internet etiquette.

It seems oddly reminiscent of some other web sites that offered Paracord deals (cough cough BK cough). In addition, the referral links on that item are going to set off every trigger on Deals dot Woot.

It also looks very much like you are representing this site. If this is true, you know the rules (and the routine). Get with the program.

Yes, I've had coffee. You should have seen what I was going to type before.

(I see other comments that say you are representing the site. Here's the thing. You cannot change your user ID. You need to make a new one. Also, make the deal an actual DEAL not just a random item from the site.)

@prettywootprincess:

Can I have 2 ID's? Can @prettywootprincess help me change the 1 I have. We are nothing like BK.

vote-for21vote-against

@gthuffines: You have to create a new account and only use that account to post, comment and vote on your company deals. Only post "deals" and no duplicates. We will review your site to make sure you are fit but in the mean time please create a new account.

@prettywootprincess: This is my new account for The550CordShop.

THANKS AGAIN

@the550cordshop: Kudos on following rules, but what omnichad and shrdlu is saying is correct. Post a deal. I can buy Rothco 550lbs 100 feet for $8.49. Why would we be interested in buying yours? Just asking...

vote-for10vote-against

@pyxientx: Rothco is made in China, colors will fade and bleed. The strength rating is usually below the 550lbs of Military spec cord made in the USA

vote-for8vote-against

@the550cordshop: The nylon from Rothco IS made in America. As that is what I purchase, that is what I would look for. Regardless of where it is made, my point was that your cord is more expensive on sale than I can find it for regular price elsewhere. I have been using Rothco for several years with no fading or fraying. I have used it as tent guy lines in 114 degree heat and 60+ mph storms with no problem. It is also military spec, as that is where I first got it.
