Is it acceptable to check the "Free Shipping" box for digital items?
I have seen several wooters check the "Free Shipping" box for items on Steam, Amazon downloads, MP3's etc. Should it be done? Does it even matter to you?
Personally, it always seems like dumb thing to do and makes the deal feel more like a gimmicky post.
What do you think?

I usually do. It's only a matter of time before some enterprising company decides to charge us for digital delivery. Look at what happened with the airlines.
I agree that it feels gimmicky and I chuckle a little to myself at the ridiculousness of if it.
I concur. Digital items are not shipped. If and when they decide to charge us, it should be listed as a download fee, not shipping.
When I see "free shipping" on a digital item, I just kind of have that "duh" eye-rolling response. I don't think I'd bother checking the box if I listed a digital deal.
@okham: I was thinking TicketMaster.
Don't know how they get away with charging you to print out tickets, but will let you pick up the tickets at Will Call for free. THAT is charging for digital delivery.
