Invicta Watches, Are they any good? Do you own one?
I look at about 15 different deal sites everyday and there is always at least 1 invicta watch deal on one of them. Are they any good or all they just a deal site fill in product that they use when they have nothing else worth selling?

I have a Pro Diver and I love it.
@thefenst: what price range does that one fall in?...all woot staff probably has invicta watches because if it breaks you can just go grab another :)
I have purchased 2 from invictashark.com, one was complete crap and the other is great.
The one that was crap, the 5249W Pro Diver model, never worked right. It would lose time and the hands would stick, but that seemed to be an issue with that particular model.
I got a 6607 as well, and that one ha been great, none of the negative issues I had with the other one.
I would say you get a good watch on the cheap, but there are some lemons so make sure the vendor has a good return policy.
No, generally, they're not that great. (Seiko makes far better watches.) They're one of those companies that price things very high, discount them heavily to make it seem like a good deal. Most of their watches are worth about a hundred, tops.
Invicta is notorious for their QA issues as well as stealing other watch companies' designs. Visit any watch collecting web site and you'll find they're not well regarded.
I've liked mine. It tells time, has stood up to being knocked around, and looks like a more expensive watch than it is (although any good watch snob knows immediately what I paid for it).
@magicgoat: Mine is an 8926C. It was about $75.
I have a citizen eco drive, 6 years without missing a beat. love it
I've got two Invictas, the 8926 automatic diver and a military lefty (not sure of the model). For what they are, they are great watches. They look good, they perform well, and they are dang cheap. I even bought one for my wife for our anniversary (11 yr - steel gift, yes I bought her other gifts as well).
No, they are not going to last forever and they are not heirloom quality, but I also paid less than $60 for the 8926 and less than $100 for the military (although I received it as a gift).
Invictashark.com sends out a daily newsletter that has really good deals, but check before you buy - sometimes Amazon beats them by a few bucks.
Oh, and I've also heard that the Invicta customer service (warranty) is lacking. But, for what I paid, unless it totally falls apart within a year or two, I'm not worried about the warranty.
Rule of thumb with Invicta is that you have to know that the price is ALWAYS inflated.
When you see one with a regular price of $495 for $80, the real price is $80.
They are good watches, but never ever pay more than $100 for one.
Invicta used to be a premier brand, when it was a European company, then they sold the name, and are now based in Florida. The watches are decent, but not in the premier level they used to be, and not worth the inflated "regular" price they tend to show.
That being said, I really like the one I have, and would happily buy another, but again, I would only spend $100 max on this brand.
@dmmutti: Agree. If you're thinking of buying one, watch ShopNBC or go to their website. They have Invicta watches on about every other hour. ::bored sigh:: Find the watch you like then Google it for the best price.
I've bought & sold a lot of watches over the years, mostly Citizen, Seiko, Bulova, Wittnauer- not real high end stuff, but solid machines. Kinda wanted an Invicta, so I bought one and couldn't be rid of it fast enough, AND wouldn't sell it to my regulars. Up close, it looks and feels cheap. Don't just take my word for it, but it seems like an overpriced fashion watch.
